UNIT OF TECHNOLOGY, INFORMATION, COMMUNICATION AND RELATIONSHIP.

Unit of Technology, Information, Communications and Relation its aim on providing professional services on the use of ICT equipment for Shinyanga Municipal Council.

The responsibilities of the Unit of Information Technology, Communication and Relationship

• Develop plan strategy on Technology, Information, Communications and Relation, guidelines and procedures to comply with the National Policy on Technology, Information, Communication and Relationships.
• To advise the Management Board Secretariat on matters relating to policies related to Technology, Information, Communications and Relations and the implementation of the concept of the government network.
• Manage the development of Technology, Information, Communications and Relation and its implementation for the Secretariat of the District Council.
• Collaborate and coordinate with OWM-TAMISEMI for develop standards for Technology, Information, Communications and Relation for "software and hardware" for the use of the Council.
• To coordinate the implementation of the architecture and maintain / develop consumer-related Web sites and record keeping for the Municipal Council, the ministry and other stakeholders.
• Evaluate, improve and manage the Technology, Information, Communications and Relation and management information systems / information rooted / programmed on the Board.
• Make training needs assessment on the management of information systems and information technology and communications and organizing capacity-building program for staff of the ICT Unit.
• Make assessment of the risk / losses relating to Infrastructure Technology, Information, Communication and Relationship with the management system of information and means of control.
• Coordinate and provide support on procurement of software and hardware in the Office.
• Establish and coordinate use of electronic mail communications on LAN and WAN
